As we continue our countdown to the She Deserves More™ Brunch on November 8th, as apart of the She Deserves More™ Movement, we are honored to spotlight Dr. Tyra S. Gardner—a powerhouse psychotherapist, entrepreneur, and visionary leader who is redefining what it means for women to walk in purpose and power. Known affectionately as the “Chaos Coordinator” and “The Anger Dr.”, Dr. Tyra brings her signature blend of humor, transparency, and truth-telling to every stage she graces.
Through her work as CEO of At A Moment’s Notice, LLC and Founder of Menopause Matters, Inc., she equips women, caregivers, and professionals to reclaim balance, set boundaries, and demand what they deserve—with grace and grit.
Your Journey: What inspired you to say “yes” to your purpose and step into leadership as a woman of faith?
I said “yes” to my purpose when I realized that my voice, my experiences, and my calling were bigger than my fears. Faith taught me that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about service, impact, and showing up fully for others. I knew that if I wanted to see change in how women, especially women of color, are valued in spaces of business, health, and wellness, then I had to first model what courage, purpose, and obedience to God look like in action.
Your Message: What is the one truth or lesson you want women to walk away with after hearing you at the She Deserves More™ Brunch?
I want every woman to walk away knowing this: you do not have to apologize for wanting more. More peace. More opportunities. More love. More success. You deserve to thrive, not just survive.
When women hear me speak, I want them to feel permission to demand what aligns with their purpose and release anything that diminishes their worth.
Overcoming Obstacles: What challenge or rejection have you overcome that shaped who you are today?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is rejection in spaces where I thought my gifts would automatically make room for me. Rejection hurt—but it also refined me. It taught me resilience, forced me to pivot, and made me bolder about creating my own tables instead of waiting to be invited to someone else’s.
That mindset birthed my businesses, my nonprofit, and my platforms—because I refused to let “no” silence my purpose.
Your Mission: How does your current work empower women to demand what they deserve in life and purpose?
Through my companies, nonprofits, and platforms, I create spaces where women are reminded that their voice has value and their health—mental, physical, and emotional—matters.
From Menopause Matters, Inc. to my coaching programs under Tyra S. Gardner Consulting, I provide tools, resources, and conversations that dismantle stigma, elevate self-worth, and help women stand unapologetically in their power.
My mission is simple but profound: to make sure women know they are worthy of both the table and the feast.
Faith & Alignment: How has your faith guided you through moments of uncertainty or transition?
My faith has been my anchor. In seasons of uncertainty, when doors closed or plans shifted, it was my belief in God’s timing that gave me peace. Faith reminded me that transition isn’t failure—it’s preparation.
Every pivot has aligned me with greater opportunities, deeper purpose, and divine connections that I could never have orchestrated on my own.
For the Women in the Room: If you could leave one piece of advice to the women attending the DMV Brunch, what would it be?
Never dim your light to make others comfortable. Your glow is not too much. Your dreams are not too big. And your voice is not too loud.
You were created to disrupt, to inspire, and to shift atmospheres. Walk out of this room knowing you are more than enough and fully equipped to demand what you deserve.
Your Legacy: What impact do you hope your presence and your work will leave on future generations of women?
I hope my legacy is that women see me as a reminder that you can turn pain into purpose, obstacles into opportunities, and vision into legacy.
I want future generations to inherit a blueprint of courage—to know they never have to shrink, that faith and strategy can coexist, and that their wellness and worth are non-negotiable.
My work is not just for me; it’s for every woman who comes after me to know that she, too, deserves more.
Join us on November 8th at the She Deserves More™ Brunch, where Dr. Tyra S. Gardner will share her story of transformation, faith, and empowerment—and remind every woman in the room that her worth is not up for debate.
